JOE
DIEBES

Energetic textural and melodic fragments were recorded by cellist Rubin Kodheli, whose performance was filmed from ten different camera angles (camera: Andrew Federman). These fragments are edited in real time into a never repeating composition that sustains an impossible musical climax. The end result is a frenetic aural and visual montage that explores the limits of human virtuosity and the convergence of man and machine. This work was produced through a residency at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with additional funding from The Experimental Television Center.
