"The Enchanted Island"

THE ENCHANTED ISLAND, a temporal installation, consists of thousands of paper cup sand castles arranged in a grid pattern in the gallery's rooms. The installation eventually will be dissolved by the artist. Mr. Betancourt presented a related installation/photo performance work during Art Basel Miami Beach, 2004. Images from this photo performance and other recent photographic artworks by the artist will also be exhibited.

The exhibition features ground-breaking works in the feminist movement such as Carolee Schneemann's "Fresh Blood - A Dream Morphology", Mary Beth Edelson's Last Supper-� which was exhibited at the Tate Modern, Ana Mendieta's video series and Judy Chicago's works from the Power Play series. The exhibition also features multimedia and installation artists Federica Marangoni, Monika Weiss, Marcia Grostein and Sara Modiano

"Infinity Kisses II", CAROLEE SCHNEEMANN captures a ritual initiated by an ardent pet cat, emphasizing the sensuous colors and textures of an unexpected human and animal configuration. In Schneemann’s most recent sculptural installation “SNAFU” the projected rhythms of the running horses illuminate white sculptural forms rising and falling on pulleys activated by motion sensors.
